Together, in Warm Welcome Week, we create a surge of warmth and positivity at the coldest time of the year.

Warm Welcome Week

Shining a light on Warm Welcome Spaces

January can be a challenging time of year for everyone. That's why we give ‘Blue Monday’ a colourful makeover in Warm Welcome Week. We ask everyone to wear warm colours and get creative with pinks, oranges, reds, and purples to chase the blues away. We want everyone to know about the joy, warmth and magic of Warm Welcome Spaces, and to find a space, close to home.

Starting Blue Monday

Warm Welcome Week starts on Blue Monday and runs for seven days from Monday 19 January to Sunday 25 January 2026.

In Warm Welcome Week, we shout from the rooftops, so everyone knows how to find a place of belonging and connection.

We shine a light on the UK’s 5,300 Warm Welcome Spaces and show the remarkable difference they make to people’s lives. Everyone can join us in Warm Welcome Week, by helping to raise awareness and growing our network of Warm Welcome Spaces.

And we’re asking even more spaces to come forward with an offer of a free warming cuppa by opening their doors to everyone in their community.

By growing the number and spread of Warm Welcome Spaces we can make sure that everyone can find a place of warmth and connection close to home.

Warm Welcome Week aims to engage and mobilise the Warm Welcome community in positive activity to:
